Celexa

Hi all.  My doctor told me to stop celexa cold turkey for 5 days and see how I feel.  Well Its day four and other than flu like symptoms and the odd dizzy spell I am doing ok.  I was on 20mg a day.  So tomorrow night I am supposed to go back on 10 mg every day or every other day.  I don't really feel down, nor do I feel like crying or anything I just feel good.  Do you think I should just stay off or do the 10mg per day or every other day and taper off??  Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, I would say, if your feeling good, go with that.  I was on AD's for years and years and was able to stop them cold turkey without too many problems.  For some people, this is NOT the case so you should consider yourself very lucky.   After I stopped, I realized my depression just wasn't there anymore, or considerably less anyway and that was 4yrs ago.  I haven't been on one since and I suspect the AD's were just keeping me lethargic.
