I really think you should go out and seek help. nothings going to change if you don't . Don't feel embaressed talking about your weight issues its important for you to feel comfortable in your own skin and only loose weight if you feel like that's what you want, not because of peoples opinion. If you go see someone it will take so much off your shoulders to finally open up to someone who you know you can confide in bc that's their job. You can do this by baby steps maybe setting up an apointment or going to a group therapy session and just listen you don't even have to contribute. just because you want to get help doesn't mean your crazy okay?
I hope everything turn out okay and I wish you luck.
I totally agree with the 2 previous posters. Sometimes the fear of talking about things is worse than actually doing it. Take baby steps, but do start talking, you deserve and need this. We've all been there, and the more you talk, the easier it gets. I know you can do this, and we are all with you on this journey. Keep talking with us also, just knowing you're not alone and others understand means an awful lot. Take care..
Howdy. Though it may seem to be a monumental task right now, reaching out for help is not such a big deal once we take the first steps. These feelings are real, though usually not as well founded as they seem. The greatest fear of all is that of the unknown, which feeds off of our preconceptions, and the concern that we won't achieve what we desire, or will lose something we already have. You are by no means alone, and you can do this. Once you do it you will become stronger and better equipped to handle other issues on your journey through life. Take care, GM
Are you seeing a therapist or a pdoc? If you do not feel comfortable than please see another p-doc or therapist. It is not helpful if you are unable to be honest and can trust them. Also, you can mention you are concerned about your weight issues and are not comfortable talking about them and would like to take it slow. Start w/something you feel comfortable talking about and progress to your main issue. Good luck! It's wonderful you recongnize your need for help and Icertainly hope you take your own advice!
