Cymbalta S/E?

by Liza55, May 21, 2008 09:17AM
Started Cymbalta in January for post partum depression. I don't believe it has been as effective as previous meds of Welbutrin or Prozac. Currently I am having night sweats, increase in headaches and a noticable difference in how I 'feel' physically-----body aches like the flu, shoulder trigger points that effect my work, etc. Could this be related to the Cymbalta after being ok on it for a few months? I would've assumed these s/e would've come sooner. Thanks

Hi. Post partum depression is caused by too-severe drop in progesterone and an increase in estrogen. Progesterone balances estrogen. Use a Bio-Identical progesterone - rather than progestin. Check out books like The Miracle of Bio-Identical Hormones, by Michael E. Platt, M.D.

I do not know anything about the drug you are taking, but from what I am learning, balancing your hormones is the answer to post partum depression.
