Depression *****

HI guys
Just feeling kinda blue today... I always get a wave of sadness that follows me like a dark cloud all day long...Its sunny out but its raining in my heart. I dont know why I feel this way and why do I feel so empty and alone? I dont want the same things anymore, and nothing excites me...dread everyday..hoping it goes away soon.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::(

Feeling blue, empty and alone could mean depression but I'm not to say you have it.

I think most of us hit a dark patch in our lives and that the way you are feeling may be just that, a phase. But of course there is always that possibility it isn't.

I would suggest that you speak to a friend, family member or doctor about how you are feeling if this continues. If you are in school or something you could possibly talk to the resident councillor or student services.

I have a cousin who is feeling as you are now and not understanding why. But afer speaking to him we have established that there is something that is making him unhappy, is there something in your life that isn't quite right? That you are not happy with?

Yea, Im going  through a transition where im finished my university degree, all my friends are getting married or engaged, I feel alone, like I will never find love again..I dont know what I want, I know that Im 25 years old and that I need to make a decision about the things I want, but Im confused I guess, bc I dont know what it is that makes me happy, Ive forgotten I guess...

You do not know what makes you happy? What used to make you happy? And what changed?
A sign of depression is a lack of interest or motivation for activities that used to be enjoyed by the sufferer.

You feel alone because everyone seems stable in their lives? Settling down into families, have people around them no matter and you feel you have no one? Then always remember, I don't know if this will help, but there are people here who will be here for you to turn to, to talk to about anything, become friends with etc. I know its only a website and not like face to face meetings but at least you know there will always be people here.

I don't know much help I can be, I'm only a teenager and I can't possibly know what you are going through. But I would hope that a job or something would open so many doors for you. New friends, something to do, new love prehaps...
You say you do not know what you want... want from what? A job? Friends? Love? Life in general?

I think everything...Im so confused right now, I wish I knew how I could make myself feel better :(
I might go talk to my doctor about it, see what she says..

Sometimes we get sad when something ends, like school or a relationship.  

It's hard, but think positive.  

Right now you are comparing yourself to others and feeling inferior.  Your life is different than your friends lives.  Stop comparing yourself to them.  

You will have everything your friends have and more.  You will have an engagement and a wedding.  You will find love again.  

With God all things are possible.
