Depression meds not working

My friend is taking effexor and welbutrin (I hope I spelled that right) to help with severe deppression that she has had for many years. Unforchantly she went off the meds for about 10 days during a move to a new house. She has been back on the meds now for a month and she still is almost as bad as not taking meds. What other meds are there out there that can help?  Does it take more then a month to get adjusted again? I take prozac, she says she tried and failed with that med , any suggestions? Advise would be great

There are many meds and different dose stages.  Yes it may take 3 to 6 weeks to feel the full effects but she stopped the meds for 10 days and that is a setback. What once didn't work for her make work later on in life & visa versa. There are so many recipes of meds and she'll have to be patient and very honest with her doctor. There are other methods to do at the same time like get rid of stressors if able, self talk should be positive not negative, relaxation cd's, exercise or just a walk near nature.  Get atleast 20 min. of sunshine everyday it's out. Ask for help around the house or with the kids so she doesn't feel trapped or stuck. Don't give up on her and get some help for yourself if she brings you down. Good luck
