Depression or Thyroid?

I've been dealing with depression and bi-polar for 8 years.  I've actually quit taking all mood stabilizers and have been quite happy and stable on just my anit-depressant, Wellbutrin.  Recently diagnosed with hypothyroid and started taking synthroid.  I just feel like I'm walking around in a huge fog.  I'm tired all the time and cannot concentrate.  I don't really feel depressed, but I feel like isolating and don't want to do anything.  Could this just be the side affects of hypothyroid?

it is most definatly the hypothyroidism How long have you been on the synthroid? It takes a while to get the dose tweaked jsut right. It Took me about 2months after my cancer treatment to start to feel better. I am alos bi polar too but since I have been on the the synthroid I dont take mey head meds any more  and I feel great. still stable and feeling good. which leads me to believe I was hypo all along and not bi polar. It took having a huge goiter with cancer taken out to find this out. Have you been over to the thyroid community? There is alot of great info there  alot of great people there that are vvery nice.
give the synthroid some time to kick in. Keep getting your labs every 6 weeks to stay on top of your TSH.

ive got the same stuff. awful isnt it? i got my bi polar depression anxienty and moodswings aswell as a bad temper on top of my tyroid probs. on several meds for everything. damn im drained.  so i feel for you and know how it feels.  ive had so many blood tests more people seen my blood than myself. lol. so hang in there your not alone. and if you need to talk.. drop me a note.
