Do you think I have depression? I have done several online tests and they have all come back extremely high risk of major/severe depression. My symptoms are:
-feelings of worthlessness
-random crying
-always feeling 'down in the dumps'
-suicidal thoughts
-thoughts of self harm
- insomnia
- severe loss of appetite
- extreme lack of concentration
-100% always feeling lonely, depressed and detached:-(

Yes....you are depressed.  Make an appointment with a psychiatrist for an evaluation.  He can also refer you to the proper therapist and is most knowledgeable if you need medication.  You can and will feel better, and we're always here for you.

I am 13/f and would have to tell my parents but I don't know how and don't want to add to their problems . I feel like everyone has given up on me though because I'm meant to have sessions with my school councillor and she hasn't been turning up so that doesnt help and I just feel so worthless and crap

Definitely think it is a good idea to see the doc, suicidal thoughts are dangerous in my opinion, and if they are recurring, get help.

Oh sweetie, you need to talk to your parents right away about this!  You won't be adding to their problems at all.  As parents we want and need to know if something is going on with one of our kids.  If you feel you can't talk to them...put everything in a letter to them. It's not your fault that you feel this way....you can't help it!  Nor is it your fault that the counselor doesn't show up.
Don't be so hard on yourself for something you have no control over.  There is help for this and your parents can help you with that.  We hear from a lot of young teens....so know you're not alone and we're always here for you!
