Do people get same results from generic Buphropin as Wellbutrin?.

I have been taking Wellbutin SR for several years. I love it, however it keeps me from sleeping, which is a real problem. I have considered trying another medication, however, when I first started taking Wellbutrin I felt  better than ever and am reluctant to let it go.  However, now I am not getting the same effect and am tired most of the time. Do people get the same effect from the generic Buphropin as Wellbutrin?

It may be that your body has become accustomed to the Wellbutrin, and you may need to add another medication, or change the dosage of the Wellbutrin.  From what I know, great results are seen with the Buphropion, but again it's just a generic of what's not helping you now.  I think it's best to see your doctor and let him now that the Wellbutrin is no longer working for you, and let him do what he is best at doing.  I'm sure he can get you on something more effective.  Take care.....
