Are you taking anything for depression?
Being in constant pain can really do a number on you mentally and emotionally.

Do you know the cause of your pain?  My husband has PAD, and a bad back due to having broken it, and he suffers from extreme leg pain.  If your doctor refuses to take you seriously, find a new one!  Can you tell us what the pain is due to, and are you on meds for the pain?

I think my back pain is due to my kidney problems but my leg pain is due to a heart cath the doctor said he had hit a nerve and that it would get better but its been a year and its gotten worse not better.

Sounds like a stronger pain medicine would help, and also I would go back to the doctor who hit a nerve and demand that he do something.  Celexa is for arthritis pain, I'm surprised you're on this.  Plus, Celexa has many side effects, which may be adding to your problems, I refused to take it.  Can you tell me what type of kidney problems you have, and what is being done for it?

hi...I am so sorry for your troubles.
I must say the first thing to get under control is your pain do you have arthritis CELEXA isn't for arthritis that I am aware of...I think the confusion here is the arthritic medication called CELEBREX and a standard dose starts at 100mg.
I'm not sure but in your case but it you are on CELEXA (40mg)this medication is for DEPRESSION not for PAIN..
If you have nerve pain you need to look into medication for that and a very good one is NEURONTIN(GABAPENTIN)...I have been taking this for alot of years and it does help alot...
Also perhaps you need to be on an opiate? there again you do need to find the source of your pain and get properly medicated.
let us know how you are doing

My bad.  Celexa is for depression, and Celebrex is an anti-inflammatory.  Thanks  opus for clarifying this.
