Effexor decrease Behavior

A friend of mine is going off effexor so that she can begin another depression med ( as I have mentioned I am on Prozac) She began her decrease yesterday and she said that for about 4 hours she said that she felt like she was flying (high I presume) and then she said that she felt like she crashed and burned so to speak. I asked how she was feeling today and she said that she felt out of sorts and that she couldn't really pinpoint how she felt. Her husband told me that when he got home from work yesterday that she wasn't talking coherently, he said that she was telling him things that didn't happen, however; I talked to her yesterday and she make perfect sence to me. Tonight however; she was not able to pay attention to anything that I was saying. My question is; Is this behavior normal when one is decreasing effexor med?

yup.. you can either read through the past posts on this site or google effexor withdrawals... its a serious problem, i wish her the best of luck with it =-)

I TRIED COLD TURKEY OFF OF EFFEXOR 150 MG DAILY FOR A YEAR- MY HUSBAND AND I FARM HE SAID WE WERE GETTING OUR WIRES CROSSED AS FAR AS COMMUNICATING PROPERLY I WOULD FORGET IF SOMETHING HAPPENED THIS MORNING OR WAS IT YESTERDAY NOT A GOOD FEELING HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO WRITE DOWN WHAT THE PLAN WAS SO HE COULD ADMIT HE WAS WRONG IF THIS CONFUSION KEPT GOING ON I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS TELL YOUR FRIEND TO HANG IN THERE SHE WILL GET THROUGH IT -- I AM GOD BLESS YOU BOTH
