Effexor to Prozac in 5 days
I was put on Prozac 40 mg 3 months ago, This was after 12 years of Effexor. I have been nauseated and feel as though I have all the symptoms of severe depression. No motivation, sleeping 16-18 hours etc. This was a new Doctor for me. Family practice. I also quit smoking and was on Chantix at the same time. I thought the terrible side effects were Chantix. But I still am in trouble after stopping Chantix 7 weeks ago. Pretty nuts, a change from smoking 40 years, Effexor, Chantix, and Prozac. Should I quit every drug and start over?

All I know is effexor is one evil drug to come off I was on it eight years. Sounds like your body is trying to adjust to taking prosac. Effexor stays in your body a long time it is fat soluable sounds like you are having withdrawals our bodys become physically dependant on it. Withdrawal can cause nausea excessive tiredness and mimic depression and anxiety. Hopefully because
prozac is in the same group your body should adjust to this change shortly. People go on prozac to get off effexor as it is not as hard to get off.
What is Chantix ?
Sounds like you had too many changes at once, best to take one thing at a time.
