Elavil from Prozac for Depression/IBS

by brandielynn, Nov 15, 2007 12:37PM
I am tapering off 40 mg of Prozac which I was on for depression/mood swings. I have had IBS for several years & never been put on anything. Prozac didn't do anything for me except make me tired more moody & gain weight. I am now going to try Elavil for depression & IBS. I have heard the side effects are the same should I even bother? Any suggestions of what won't make me tired & gain weight for IBS & depression?? I have tried ALL ssris & no luck. My mood swings are alomst unbearable.
