Emotinal wreck

Why do always remember the negative in my life and even the littlest thing that happens makes me so upset I want to cry and I feel really emotional?
I think about other peoples worries and I feel really bad and I always day dream about how I might act if someone close to me died.
Why would someone day dream about stuff like that?

that is a hard question to answer, especially since childhood experiences and personal history and background have a lot to do with that type of thing - patterns of negative thinking and hypersensitivity.

the simplest answer that i can give, which is only from my own experiences, is that you have a deeply ingrained habit/problem of emotional instability and negativity. this could stem from childhood experiences and be symptoms of a personality disorder (i myself am trying to conquer/overcome borderline personality disorder along with a history of other mental/emotional problems and understand exactly the feelings that you are describing), or it may be a biological imbalance that is causing you to have a depressive episode (it is normal to be depressed sometimes, but if these feelings are persistent and causing you great distress, you need to seek help).

talk to a couselor/therapist about these things. do some research on cognitive behavioral therapy/cbt, or dialectic behavioral therapy, both which can be very helpful for overcoming negative thinking and overwhelming emotions.
