Having trouble thinking!

I've been treated for depression for 3 years. At work i keep forgeting and i lost count.  I easily forget went I am distracted and I often forget. At night i can't sleep even i have take sleeping pill.  I am taking 2 Escitalopram 10MG every night. Nothing seem to work for me.

Hi John, I am by no means a doctor but I can tell you what my doctor told me when I complained about loss of memory. and the lack of ability to function at work.  

The doctor told me that depression can cause a loss of memory and some medications can also effect you ability to remember short term.  Age and stress is also a big factor.as well as some physical/biological illness.  I was submitted to a Mental Status Evaluation Test.  If you have not discussed your memory loss with your doctor, it may be benefitical to you to discuss with him.  Thank you, Hey Jude
