Thankyou sooo much for your feedback, i will definetly keep you updated =)
Hello and welcome!
It definitely sounds like you are suffering from depression and some anxiety.
The good thing is, you have already reached out for help, which is a very important first step! Definitely continue the exercising! That helps so much by releasing natural "feel good" endorphins. You'd probably feel worse if you weren't exercising regularly.
As for the Prozac, don't fear it. Look at it as a new beginning. I understand that a lot of people have reservations about taking a medication, but meds have helped so many people (myself included). You'll just never know until you try. Try to resist the urge of researching TOO much, because, like you said...there are a lot of horror stories out there. While a percentage of people who try meds have an awful experience, many more have positive, life changing ones, and everyone is different. People with good experiences are much less likely to get out there and write about it, which is why sometimes it seems that all you can find are negative stories. Allow yourself to have your own unique experience. Remember that it can take 4-6 weeks before you really start noticing improvement with these meds...you have to be patient (as hard as that is). If possible, try to have your medication maintained by a psychiatrist, they are better versed in how these meds work, and what to expect. Also, insist on therapy, the combo of meds AND therapy increases success rates significantly...versus just meds or therapy alone.
Keep doing what you're doing and start moving forward with treatment. It's okay to need help with this, you don't have to suffer...you can get the joy back in your life. We all know what it is like to be in your shoes, and we care. Come back and update us, and use us as an added support system. It's amazing how much of a relief it is to be among people who TRULY understand.
Take care...hang in there!
