How can I help?

I have a 12 year old cousin who is living in hell. She is severely depressed and has suicidal thoughts. We have put her in a mental health hospital, but they only keep her for 3-5 days, and she won't talk to anyone about it. I'm worried for her, what can I do, since she has abusive parents that dont care about her,
? What can I do to get her out of there, but not taken away from the whole family, when she says I'm the only reason she is still alive?

You should probably talk to child protective services as well and maybe even a local church.  If there is enough resources brought in it may help keep the crap parents exposed to where maybe any further abuse can be eliminated.  She needs a body guard frm thm it sounds like.  Good luck and keep us updated.

The mental institution may save her as well and buy her some time.  Please help the poor girl.  I can't stand to hear abuse to kids.  If you knw crap is going on you hav a responsibility to report it.  Go directly to the local police and explain the urgency of the situation.  Ths girl will need counseling and someone like u who cares to be in her corner and stay there.  Thoughts are with u both.   Best wishes.

Get her away from those abusive pigs,there must be other family she can stay with and her state of mind will improve,a mental health hospital would have made the situation worse,have you seen those places,there are some really sick people in there and the atmosphere would be shocking for a 12 year old,see needs other family members like yourself to help her and be there for her like you have been.Continue to be there for her and she will feel she has someone she can rely on.Family needs to help her now,just keep her away from her low life parents.I hope it all works out for the best.

You know exactly what to do. You MUST call Child Protective Services immediately. This child only has you on her side. She has abusive parents and is severely depressed and suicidal and then was thrown into a mental hospital. Now she has to carry that stigma for the rest of her life. She needs proper attention.
Call CPS, be responsible, be her savior, she is depending and crying out for someone to help her.
Please don't delay this matter any further. HELP HER!!!

joe paterno was fired from penn state because he knew of abuse and didnt take the necessary steps to put it to an end.....he let it go thinking it was going to be handled and we all know the end result of that.   well, the same for you, if you know this abuse is happening to this 12 year old child, then you need to step up to the plate and get child protective services involved and do whatever it takes to save her life. if you don't, you may end up living with her suicide on your hands for the rest of your life. get her help at all costs!!!!! please!!!!

EMERGENCY CUSTODY GO TO FAMILY COURT FOR A EMERGENCY HEARING TELLING JUDGE IN THE REQUEST WHY YOU WANT IT AND WHY YOU THINK SHE IS DEPRESSED AND SUICIDAL ,WHY HASN'T SOCIAL SERVICE BEEN CALLED THERE IS NO REASON FOR THEM NOT TO BE , AND IF YOU KNOW FOR A FACT THIS IS GOING ON YOUR JUST AS GUILTY AS HER ABUSERS ARE AND MIGHT AS WELL BE THE ONE ABUSING HER BY LETTING THE ABUSE CONTINUE , AND HER BEING TWELVE YRS OLD SHE CAN TELL THE JUDGE SHE IS BEING ABUSE AND WANTS TO LIVE WITH YOU .
