i got a really good doctor and she prescribed wellbutrinWellbutrin Wellbutrin sr Wellbutrin xl for me..i dont think she would prescribe it if it was that bad as you sound...he might be going threw the withdrawl..i havent experienced the withdrawl because i just started taking it....he should see his doctor if the withdrawl doesnt go away in approx 2 weeks
He really need to get in touch with the Dr. who prescribed it for him. I am not a Dr., but for myself, I would taper down gradually unless a Dr. told me to go cold turkey. Absent instructions from a Dr., if I were going off, and I was currently taking it twice daily, I would go to once daily for a couple/few weeks, then maybe one every other day for a week or so, then off. The drug affects the brain, so cold turkey may not be very smart (unless a serious side effect were present). Of course, different meds affect people differently. He really needs to call his Dr./nurse asap.
