How to decide if the antidepressant you have been taking is not working anymore?

I have been taking Prozac for many years. I have literally been taking it for most of the last 10 years. While I have
stopped taking it sometimes for 6 or more months at a time, I am now again taking 40 miligrams. A new therapist suggested that perhaps I need to be reevaluated to determine whether or not I need to take something else and talked glowingly of the benefits of mixing Zoloft with Wellbutrin...( as a combination resulting in being " well oft"

I have had a tremendous amount of stress lately and do have a history of anxiety and depression. I also have a history of lyme disease which I have had many times over the years. I recently read some new research from Columbia on the profile of some late lyme disease patients who are treated for primary depression when in fact the lyme disease effects on their nuerobiology is the primary problem and the depression secondary.

I am very interested in finding out more about this.

I always know when a medication i have been taking too long is failing to work, because I start feeling almost like I'm not taking it. Like I'm getting withdrawl (withdrawal) sysmptoms even though I have not skipped a dosage.

Some people can thake the same AD med for years with no problem. Many of us do have to change from time to time eventually.

As far as Zoloft and Welbuterin, A safe combination that has worked for many. I tried adding Welbutrin to my Zoloft (when I was on Zoloft) and it didn't do a thing for me. Even after three months on it I noticed nothing, so I just said forget it and dumpped it.

Some people swear by it's effectivness. Who knows, everyone responds differently.
