How to taper off effexor xr

I just started lexapro 5 mg today. I am currently on 37.5mg of effexor xr... How long should I be on this before I taper off the effexor? And how do I do this..the dr and pharmacist said to do it every other day and then every third day n such..but I thought you couldn do that on the xr version? Plus last tim ei did that it messed me up? Any suggestions woul dbe helpful thanks

Just answered your other post. Do what they tell you and hope for the best. Drink lots of water and sleep a lot while it's bad.

Listen to your advice and stick with it.
