HOW DOES ANYONE GET AWAY FROM THIS FEELING OF HOPELESSNESS AND FIND THE WILL TO LIVE.I HAVE BEEN ON ANTIDEPRESSANT ON AND OFF SINCE THE DEATH OF MY DAUGHTER 10 YEARS AGO AND AM UNDER A DOCTOR,HAVE BEEN TO SHRINKS,HYPTNOSIS AND THE WORKS AND STILL DO  NOT ENJOY LIFE.

What is wrong with me? I am usually a very out  going, life of the party kind of gal.  But Lately I don't want to get out of bed, talk to anyone, even my bf (my sister) (she hasn't done anything to me) I took ten pills last night and can't figure out why I woke up?! I just want to die! What do I do?

I read your post again and you did not mention you have been in therapy, have you?  Also, Mrarcollins mentioned Effexor in a previous post and I must agree with him.  Of course everyone's body responds differently to medication but I can tell you it has helped me.  I am currently on a combination of 300 mg. Effexor XR, 20 mg. Celexa and 3 mg. Risperdal and have had good response.  I have been on phys meds for 25 yrs. and I must say the Effexor has helped me the best.

I looked up the name of the medication for drug resistant depression, it is Symbyax; you may want to give it a try.  I hope you find something helpful soon, we are here for you if you need us.  Take care Sweetie, Jude.

Hello. As previously stated, you may benefit from medication adjustments, whether it be a different med or a dosage change. Have you related your feelings to your doctor? Is your doctor a psych professional, or a general practitioner? Please advise, and hang in there. You are not alone and there is hope. Take care, GM

I think if the truth was known many of us have felt like this before, over other hard issues in
our life. So please know you are not alone, and people do care for you very much too.

Oh, I am so sorry, you have had a plateful.  I wish I could give you advise but all I can do is perhaps make a few suggestions...

Maybe you need to get on different medications?
Perhaps you are suffering from Bipolar and having mood swings?
Perhaps you are drug resistant?  There is a medication that helps your body to function better with antidepressants but I'm sorry I can not remember the name of it now.
