I feel nuts!

I feel nuts!

I have been on Paxil since my hysterectomy about three years ago. I have tried to slowly wean myself of a couple of times and feel funny "electric shocks" I know it sounds crazy. Well I can't stand the feelng so I start taking the Paxil again. About two weeks ago I started feeling horrible, crying spells, nervous, anxious, worthless- you name it  I felt it- This was on my Paxil- I called my gyno and he ordered blood work- my thyroid was normal.

He said that maybe the Paxil is no longer working for me- He wrote me an RX for Sarafem- My insurance will not cover this- $220.00 a month! That is outrageous!

I don't know what to do- I have called his office and explained the situation- I am waiting on a call back now-

I just want to feel myself again- I am tired of feeling nuts!

Any suggestions- does this sound familar? What did you do?

You're not going nuts.  I was on 80mg of Prozac several years ago, and it literally made me sick, nervous, and I did have horrible thoughts about dying.
Your doctor should be able to change your prescription.
Ask about Lexapro for both anxiety and depression.  It has helped me; the only thing is I have had a headache.
I hope you find something that works.
