I want to stop all my medication...

I take:
Buspirone HCL 15mg 2x (1x morning, 1x night)
Bupropion SR 150mg 2x (1x morning, 1x afternoon)
Fluoetine 20mg 3x (3x morning)

I am going to stop. What is the best weaning schedule for these medications.
I do not have insurance so I am going through the county and they are unable to get me a psychiatrist and I can not afford to continue seeing the guy I had been seeing because I don't have enough money ($150 per visit)

Nursegir672 is correct.  She is basically telling you in a straight forward manner what I was trying to tell from another direction.  The reason I took this tactic is to get at the real reason you said you were going to stop. I will still be willing to help you sort things out and answer questions when able, but in the end IF your doctor agrees with you he/she will be the one to give you a discontinuation (taper) protocol. With that said, the other point I wanted you to understand is that drug treatment protocols are what I do for a living so do not discount my words when I say that if you stopped these without the supervision of your doctor, you are playing with fire. Please listen to us and do not try to do this on your own.
Please, please, please!

Unforuntaley, no matter how much experience some of us have, either personally or professionally with medications, we are not permitted to give specific dosing advice on this site.

You need to discuss this with your doctor and allow him/her to come up with a tapering schedule that is appropriate.  There is no way you should ever attempt to discontinue ANY medication on your own, let alone an entire medication regimen.

Best of luck, let us know what your doc says!

Hello,
I am a Medical Science Liaison by trade which means I teach and advise patients and doctors how to use (or not use) medications. So I can tell you which one to stop first through the last including the time frame and safety concerns.  However, this puts me in a bad spot because I do not know your current mental status.  Also, you were not clear on why you want to stop these medications. You can obtain these medications from a family doctor without the need for a psychiatrist so is it the cost of the medication? All three are generic so they should not be too high in cost. Have you discussed stopping your meds with your family doctor?   Please give me a little more info so that I have a level of confidence that you will be OK without these medications.  And trust me if you stop these in the wrong order or time frame you will be hating life and you will feel like you are crawling out of your skin.

I await your response.
