Implant

Please can you tell me how long, once having the implant removed, it will take for the hormone to be out of my system?

I'm assuming you are talking about an impant for birth control, like Implanon?  What were you on and when was it removed?  Are you having issues with depression and anxiety now that it has been removed?  That's very normal.  While your body adjusts, your emotions can go all over the place.

Also, even when the mediation is no longer in your system, you can still experience that emotional "let down", again, from the readjustment your hormones are trying to make.

This is very commonly reported, and the vast majority of people report improvements within a few weeks, to a month.  Of course, everyone varies.  You may feel better much sooner, or it may take you even a little bit longer than others.

The best thing you can do is try to stay busy and distract yourself from how you're feeling.  Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot you can do to speed up the process, it just takes time for everything to readjust.   Most certainly keep in close contact with your doc, and let him/her known what's going on, especially if the emotional let-down is becoming very bothersome to you.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.  Hope you're feeling better soon!
