Interactions

My doctor prescribed me nortriptyline and citalopram together, and people I know in the medical community tell me this is a bad combo, that they shouldnt be prescribed together. Is this correct?

I forgot to post that they are at different times, the citalopram in the morning and nortriptyline at night. Thanks again for any help.

it sounds like theres some confusion and i think you should talk to your docter and if you don't like the idea just tell him/her .I don't know if they go to gether well or not i am just 13.If you don't want to tell the docter just tell your parents. I hoped this helped i am not good at this and you can talk to me any time

There is a section on Medhelp that you can input your current drugs and it evaluates any drug interactions.  
You probably know tht citalopram or Klonopin is highly addictive.  I had a doc. try to get me to take it but I refused...I don't need an addiction on top of everything else!  Why double your troubles.  

If you are concerned about your drugs, ask your p-doc to prescribe something else.

Am I bad, citaloprm is celexa not clonazepam (Konopin), sorry,  anyway go under the drug section on Medhelp and to the right mid of the screen is the Med Checker.  Sorry for the confusion.
