Is this anxiety or obsessive/compulsive

Is this anxiety or obsessive/compulsive behavior to constantly want to have more and more.  Let me explain.  I knit and crochet and if I go shopping or order online I am not satisfied with 1 or 2, I have to have maybe 20 or 25 skeins of yarn.  I get these and just put them away and think of other colors and other craft items I have to have and order them and put them away.  Yes, I do use these, but always have to have more.  THe same with candles.  Always buying more than I need.  Does anyone know??  Is is not unusual to spend 30.00 to 100.00 on these things.

Yes, probably a form of OCD.

I don't know if it's OCD....you have the obsession, but whats the compulsion?
You just like the ****.  I'm the same way with candles and books.

HOWEVER, how often does this happen?  Do you by chance feel kind of depressed for a while then all of a sudden feel like going out and buying all these things?  Cause that could be more into bi-polar.
