Is this depression? or just being lazy

Recently I havent felt like doing anything, ive definetley had a loss of interests in daily activities. Ive been on Zoloft max dose and I'm also prescibed KLonopin both origianally for panic/anxiety disorders. Ive had a few spells of hard depression that lasted like a week but it passed, but this little loss of interest in everyday life keeps lingering with me. My psychiatrist is aware of it and says if it continues at the end of this month(october) He may make an adjustment to my medication. Maybe he will add a med just for depression ie-wellbutrin i dont know(hes mentioned something to that effect before). Its not like I wake up and feel hopeless I've been there before this isnt that...... Its like im content to stay home on the couch all day/night instead of participate in life, some days I don't want to get in the shower and shave and that isn't the real me.  Any feedback from people with experience is welcome :) Good luck to everyone dealing with this

Yes, this is typical with depression and it does sound like you need a medication adjustment.  I think we've all been exactly where you are and it's good that you are working closely with your doctor on this.  Take care.

Hi, yes it does sound like depression.  You must go back to doctor, and discuss medication

I agree with maddie and mammo above.  Ask your doctor if there is also the possiblity your medication is sedating you too much therefore sapping your energy and drive.  Perhaps a cut in the klonopin may be worth trying.  Just a thought.

i felt that way all the time when i was on lexapro, before the lexapro i was chronically irritable. i am now withdrawing from lexapro and now i am so irritable more than before the lexapro, i hope its just withdrawal and it goes away soon,  i still feel like doing things, but i am just annoyed all the time, i think i have agitated depression. i guess there are different kinds of depressions. i am trying to get my system back in balance naturally by eating better, exercising, reducing stress and anger management.
