Is this typical?

by robkfromphilly, Jun 18, 2008 05:47PM
I've been on 50mg of Zoloft for about one month exactly now, and the past two days each morning, seemingly like clock work, about 3 hours after my zoloft dose, I have diarrhea. Lately I've also been taking 3MG Melatonin at night, so I don't know if that factors in, or if it's just my diet, which lately has been more fast food then normal. I haven't had diarrhea the rest of each day, no fever, etc. Have also even ate after with no loss of appetite. Should I just chalk it up as a common side effect of Zoloft as I continue to adjust to it

Zoloft can cause Diarrhea in some people. I used to take it a long time ago before switching meds and it too gave me this problem. It did seem to ease up after several months on the medication so perhaps it will also get better for you in time.
