The reason that I am posting this, is because I believe I am going through perimenopause at the age of 34.
Earlier last year, I suffered from an extreme bout of anxiety and later, mild depression. I did not take any medication.
I did have my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh level checked (2.1) and while it was suggested that it should be monitored, in the meantime, am assuming (as well as my doctor) that I have a hormonal imbalance which has been happening for over a year.
Naturally, in the begining, we didn't suspect it.
This month, I will be taking a birth controlControl Control rx pill, in hopes to regulate my hormones.
Both anxiety and depression are linked to hormones: those womenWomen's way going through a "transition."
The transition can last many years.
At any rate, thought this worth posting.
I just want to say, I am 26yrs old. I have been on the birth controlControl Control rx pills for 11yrs. I am stopping them because the hormones are driving me crazy!! I have been dealing with anxiety/depression but never really linked it to the pill. I think by my adding the hormones of the pill, it screwed me up. I hope the pill will have the opposite effect on you and regulate your hormones. Good luck!!
