Lexapro and/or Prozac

I've ever been less obese. From 12 to 35 yrs high doses of strong exercise. Good swimmer and that help me to be arroud the 100 kg. Since my 35 Th my job began very stressfull for my country (marine officer). My doctor gave me a little of anxiolitic drugs. In 2005 anxiety and depression were present. I wento to the psychiatrist. We coincide in use Lexapro.
In two years I  earn 30 Kg (66 lb). I ve reduced to 5 mg twicely. Today I begun with 10 mg of Prozac.
I expect to reduce my weight. You think Prozac may be better for that.? I don´t want to leave at all lexapro. It is excellent for me, but I can´t accept my weight.
I also tried with little doses of bupropion but it makes me very irritated.

I had great success with Prozac, and no weight gain.  We all respond differently to these types of drugs, and what one experiences with a drug, another may not.  I'm assuming your doctor felt the Prozac would be better for you weight wise or he would not have changed your medication.  You won't know until you take it, but it's been around a long time, and many have had great results.  Good luck and take care.

Yes unfortunately antidepressants are often related to weight gain. Sounds like you got it right with Prozac because Prozac and Zoloft are two antidepressant that are supposed to have the less impact on your weight.
