Meridia

I'm 17 and have depression, O.C.D., anxiety, and social anxiety. I also have panic attacks and tend to have sucidal thoughts (increasing as of late). Awhile ago I heard about Meridia. I was very excited and thought, "finally." Recently, I heard that you can't take it with depression medications. Would it be safe for me to stop taking Effexor and just take Meridia? Would the Meridia have mental side effects (anxiety, depression, ect.)? Would it cause me to have a mental breakdown?

From what ive been reading up on, you should not take meridia at all!!!! With antidepressents........very dangerous, be careful taking this drug people have died from taking this meridia. So you need to research and make sure you talk to more then one doctor. Cause there has been times my doctor has gave me medicine that i should not have been taking with my other meds so be careful!!!!! Good luck. Anyways my doctor gave me the same precription for meridia , im still debating on wther to try it, im kinda hesitate myself.
