Muscle Relaxers??

Muscle Relaxers??

I have been taking Effexor/Trazadone for many, many years. It seems to work okay for me. I do get depressed from time to time, is that normal? For the last month I have been taking muscle relaxers to help with some pain. I have noticed lately that I am feeling more depressed that ever! I am feeling very suffocated and that my life is going no where. I have gained 10 pounds in the last month and all I do is eat and sleep. I have not been able to work in over a year because of other health issues. Could this be from the muscle relaxers or just general depression?? I just have no motovation anymore.

i've never taken muscle relaxers, but to me, this sounds like depression.  i think no matter what meds you are on, you are still likely to go through depression or "down times" once in a while.  i believe that would be normal, as no one could be happy all the time.  do you go to a counselor or therapist?  that might help give you tools to avoid depression relapse...that's what i'm doing at least.
