NEED TO QUIT...NOW!

I've been on Paxil CR 25 Mg for three years. Recently I lost my insurance and my stepdad has been getting me any anitdepresant that he could find at work. Now he can't find anymore, and I have to stop COLD TURKEY. I did it before a couple of years ago and I managed to get through it. Now I don't know if I can. What should I do to help ease the brain buzz and anger? I was thinking about staying in bed for a weekend or so to get through the bulk of it. Please someone tell me what I should do. Keep in mind that I don't have enough money or time to go see my doc.

Why don't you try calling your doctor and explaining the situation, they may be able to give you samples to help you taper off.

I would imagine that your taking Paxil because you have a depressive dissorder, is that right?

You do understand that the symptoms of your depression will return after you stop the Paxil? This illness doesn't just go away.

You can purchase Generic Paxil for very cheep at Canadian internet drug stores. They will ship to your home and the price is very low.

There are lots of state programs to help you with your meds at little or no cost you can look into.. you dont have to go off your med.Call the state social services in your state and go from there.

From my recent experience, you will make yourself VERY sick if you try and cold turkey it off of Paxil.  I tapered VERY slowly, even down to cutting down on pills, and I still couldn't stand the withdrawal symptoms and have had to go back on.  You are on a lower dose but you MUST taper off, it's dangerous to stop cold turkey.  Paxil is an awful drug to get off of, the worst I have known.
