Need Solutions for an Upset Tummy With Prozac

I recently started taking 20 mg every day of Prozac.  I am also on an appetite suppressant to help me lose weight, which I started about a week before the Prozac.  I have noticed that since taking the Prozac I have this constant heartburn / upset tummy where I just can't eat anything.  I mean, nothing sounds good and smelling most foods seems to make it worse  :S  This is not good because it is not a healthy way to lose weight and I don't want to gain a bunch later.  Anyone else have this / know how to alleviate this side effect?  Thanks!

Well good news - I was wondering if maybe it as just an initial thing that eventually would go away.  I know that it was not the other drug I am taking because I did not have this side effect at all when I started taking it.  It made me less hungry, but that was just it - it didn't upset my tummy or anything but that is a great idea to call my pharmacist.  Thanks!

I had similar stomach issues when I started taking prozac.  It eventually went away.  I don't know if my body just needed sometime to adjust or what.  I know that it was always recommended to take it with food which might be a help for you.  I know that eventually it didn't bother my stomach even when taking 40mg on an empty stomach first thing in the morning.
