oh man, don't tell me that you lost your sex drive while on meds.
i just made an appt to go talk to a shrink because i think i'm suffering from depression myself...and they might put me on something. and i have no sex drive at all as it is! i was hoping after getting help it would come back....

good for you..
medication seemed to just numb all feelings i had and was like a robot. sounds like zoloft had that effect on you. im really depressed now but its a 'real' feeling..irrelevant..Anyways...this isnt a medical explanation but my hypothesis is that the sex hormones in body were being produced as normal in your body while you were taking medication. the medication was supressing your sexual feelings that wanted to act on your hormone chemicals for too long (for a guy anyways!). Result: a build up of testosterone! Now since you've came off the med, your body is getting in touch with itself and has figured it has alot of sexual flustration built up..my advice..let it out..dont feel bad for feeling like this..act on it and your drive should come to a balance. have fun!  i dont know if im make much sense. just a passing thought!

ive found that my libido has been the least affected with Effexor. (just throwing that out there) . On the other hand, im afraid i might be experiencing the rare sideaffect of major acne.

I went off Zoloft about a month ago after being on it for 10 years, and it's like 10 years of repressed sexual desire is being released all at once.  I had a fairly high sex drive (for a woman) to begin with, but would only respond to certain stimuli.  Now, I have an insatiable appetite and it seems like everything (EVERYTHNG!) is capable of eliciting the ultimate response from me.  I don't know if this is the norm, but you're definitely not alone!
