Oversleeping

Hi,
Hope someone can shed some light. Of late, I've been oversleeping so much so that when I force myself to get up to drop my daughter in the morning I get back to my tea and fall asleep till 1pm! My sleeping pattern has been very irregular. Initially I thought it's typical post Christmas "over relaxation" but realised quickly that that wasn't the case! At times, I can't get to sleep till 4am despite getting into bed by 10pm (what used to be the norm). It's incredibly frustrating as it's not my normal self. I lost my job before christmas which may or may not have something to do with it. However, I would appreciate any feedback (don't think Im depressed as I seem to still meet with friends). My mind seems very proactive with a list of all the things I want to do during the day but somehow when morning comes I simply shut down! My body just doesn't respond! would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you

You are very welcome, I hope I helped, if you look at your post it came from the Depression Community so not sure why it showed up in Hep C
Sometimes this forum is not user friendly.  Since it was your first post I did not want you to think you had made a mistake.  There are glitches in the system all the time so it is better to repost and hope the question gets to the right people. I know what it is like to lose sleep.  In fact I just got a prescription for Ambien (yuck) to try to help me get back into the correct sleep/wake cycle.  It is very easy to get off kilter no matter what the problem may be
I wish you the very best.  Being sleep deprived is no fun at all :)

I may be confused however it looks as if you did post from the Depression Community.  You are fine.  I would try posting your question again.  There must have been a glitch in the questions program that send your question to the Hep C forum.  I have been here for years and do not understand all the options here.
Good luck to you

What caused you to come to a HCV forum looking for answers about sleep patterns?  Just wondering................

This is a hep C forum and we are not doctors.
Although changes in sleep patterns can be caused by liver disease, they can also be from other things.

You really need to see a doctor.

Not that I know of. But would like to know more, will read up. I do have a blood test scheduled next week for under active thyroid and anaemia, is there anything else I should be testing for? Also in the last 6 months my gums have bled yet the dentist assures me it's not bad gum disease!
