Paxil Tremors?

I have been taking paxil for about a month.   The first couple days I first started taking it I had a panic attack and then a few hours later a felt very good.  Then eventually my moods were  just more calm, relaxed and stable.  This past week I have been experiencing some bad symptoms.  I have been having night terrors, I twitch and have tremors in the day time, I feel extreme fatigue, anxiety, muscle weakness and stiff. I have this weird sensation throughout my body.   Is this normal for antidepressants?

I was on paxol for years it stopped working..I never had any of the side effects you mention..agree that you should see dr asap,,,the tremors..have you recently d/c'd another med? most(all) psyc meds you should been weaned off under drs care if you abruptlu stop it can send you into very deep depression.

scary dreams are common at begining of a new med,,its your sub-consious mind releasing fears..( if you dream of a idk a scary dragon  its not litterally a fear its just a way of body working out stress/panic.)

When my paxil stopped it took me three trys to get right med as all our chemistry is different,,,Im on wellbutrin it works great for me.....ask dr his opinion about Lamictal...its primary use is seizures,,,its also used to stop racing thoughts of worry.

Good luck Cherie

If you stay on it, try supplementing with magnesium citrate.  Antidepressants very often interfere with the absorption of magnesium, and that's why there's a lot of muscle problems on them.  That's not to say this is the right med for you, but mammo has given you good advice as to that aspect.

It takes 4-6 weeks for your body to adjust to this medication, but I would contact your doctor and let him know what you are experiencing.  This may not be the right medication for you, but don't just stop it abruptly.  Talk with your doctor and follow his advice.
