Paxil Withdrawal

I had taken Paxil 10mg daily for 5 years..I have recently slowly gone off it...

Trouble is I am having fast and  irregular heart rhythm.....just from time to time..
had my ekg..no irregularities seen..saw 2 doctors who said I had a racing heart but could not hear any irregular heart rhythm...BUT I FEEL AND HEAR IT!!

anyone out there experience the same thing after going off Paxil?

You are probably correct ..except the irregular heartbeat comes on for absolutely no reason.....just starts flipping....

anxiety attacks are what the doctors believe as well..I mean here in boston there is alot of experience with anxiety...so I am quite certain they know what they are seeing...

I am choosing to go off of paxil ...well...because I THOUGHT it was time...went through a divorce on it...and other stuff ...and I really am grateful because it allowed me to "have a thick skin" through it..and wow did it help me sleep...

no, not going on another med right now.

It sounds like anxiety attacks to be honest. Especially explaining how you feel is very common with folks who have anxiety attacks. I've been in the ER a couple of times with them. It sounds like your heart beat is off, but anxiety can cause your to be extra sensitive and possibly overreact. Why are you going off Paxil? Are you going on another med?
