Paxil or Lexpro

would you be so kind as to give me your opinions on these meds if you have used both of them. Pdoc started me on Paxil which I am thinking was the wrong one. I have read to many bad things about the side effects.

We all react differently to these drugs, and while one may have side effects from one drug, another won't.  It's really trial and error as to what will work best for you.  Try the Paxil and if it doesn't help, or you have any problematic side effects let your doctor know right away.  Never stop these types of meds abruptly and always work closely with your doctor where your meds are concerned.

Lexapro first. Paxil is a more aggressive SSRI than Lexapro. It's hard to come off Paxil so I would start with Lexapro.
