Paxil

Paxil

Been on low dose Paxil for years and started boo-hooing this past mid-April.  The boo-hoos were every morning.  Doc upped my Paxil until I finally hit 50mg last month.  The sweating drove me nuts so I asked doc about reducing Paxil.  He reduced me to 37.5mg.  I was on that for 3 days and went back to the 50mg because I started crying again.  I was feeling so good once the 50mg kicked in.  And so soon after I dropped down, I feel like I am back to where I started.  I expected the 50mg to kick back in as soon as I got back on it but this is my 3rd day back on 50mg and I'm still boo-hooey.  Anyone experienced this before so quick after reducing a dose?  And how long does it usually take to feel better again once you go back up on your dose?

Thanks.

Hi I haven't experienced what you are talking about but I used to take Paxil. These meds are funny. If you take too much you feel bad, but if you take too little you don't feel good enough. My best advice would be to keep working with your doctor to find the right dose for you.
