Please help

Hi,

I was on medications for quite some time and stopped last year.. In January i went to my GP and got prescribed medication for depression but never actually took any of them. I have them here as proof in the package untouched and along with the repeat prescription lasting a further 5 months worth of tablets.

I am wishing to join the royal marines but they need you to be off anti depressants for 24 months before applying to join. I was wondering if i took my meds along with the repeat prescription tomy GP then would they have the authority to ammend or at least add a notice of correction stating that I haven't taken these medications?

Any help would be greatfully recieved as this is my dream job and adding more time on top of the 24 months would be devastatng as i am already 25 years of age

Thanks
Dave

should be able to do this for you as see no reason not to. Pretty poor in my opinion that the Army as an employer is not more open with accepting possible employees with possible past and maybe continuing mental health problems., dream job or no dream job. There is also the option of not telling them this personal disclosure due to the level of stigma you may feel attached to this matter.

Tell your Dr. why you failed to take the meds. he prescribed. Don't waste NHS cash. Have you asked similar question here in past?
