Remeron and Lexapro

My doc has suggested and prescribed taking Lexapro. I have been taking Remeron for many years. Can these or should these be taken together? Should I start small with Lex and slowly go off the Rem? I am not sure what to do here. I have called the Doctor but not return phone call.

Are you still taking Remeron or are you on Lexapro or perhaps both?  I've been on Remeron now for about 2 weeks.  What was your experience with Remeron?  What dosage were you on or on if you are still taking it.  Would appreciate your feeback.  Thanks.  Hope your doctor got back to you about the meds.  Thanks again.

Did Remeron make you feel drowsy on the first day you took it?  I am looking for something that would make me drowsy for sleep.  I have tried a few with not so great results.

The Remeron helps you sleep which is great because all of the other SSRI's that I tried would make me more anxious than I already am or make me feel completely unreal or make me nauseous. You do have a little more of a craving for carbs but that  can be handled with long walks or other exercise. You might feel a little drowsy a couple of mornings after you start taking it as you take it just before bed time. It does take a while for the anti-D effect to kick in.
