Yes, it will get better. I felt worse when I started on Zoloft, but the effects do ware off and you will start to feel better. How long have you been on the pills? And what is your dosage? A higher doseage may mean that you are feeling the effects more, and it might be worth talking to your dr about reducing the dosage amount and building back up slowly......But have no fearFears and phobias the effects will ease with time.
Thanks, for the info. I am on 200mg of Zoloft the highest recommended dose. I also was was told by the Psychologist to increase it more rapidly and higher than the original plan was because of the poroblems I was having(very depressed). You are right my dizziness is gone the last few days. Are you on just zoloft or a combination? I have compulsive tendencies and have read some people are on a combination of both zoloft and welbutrin. thanks again.
I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having. I've been on it for over a year now so a 25mg change doesn't give me all the horrible side effects. But all of these types of medications all had the same side effects for me until I was on a constant daily dosage and DID NOT miss a dose, or drink alcohol. I still get the odd migrane and have horrible hot flashes, but having the feeling of being somewhat "normal" was better and safer for me. Perservere through the side effects and you'll eventually feel good. Give it 3-4 weeks on the same dose. If no change for the better consider another antidepressant.
I'm feeling better now. I have high hopes of feeling even better. I am about to begin exercising in front of a bright light, since I live in the pacific nw, (dark and rainy). Thanks for your advice.
Good Luck!
