Scared I might be schizophrenic?

For my A-Level drama coursework, we are performing a play about a man who can see manifestations of his emotions. As part of this, my teacher told me to make a video to shock the audience at he start of the play. So, that meant I had to look at the symptoms for schizophrenia. As I was reading them, I started to slowly convince myself I was having these symptoms. Sure, I talk to myself sometimes, but it's more that I'm thinking out loud. Then, I watched a video that sort of simulated what it was like to have schizophrenia. I sort of convinced myself that I didn't have it, but then after, I started to hear voices saying my food was poisoned. Am I just being a hypochondriac or am I genuinely unwell?

You are ok and I would not feel strange about this.  There is also something called second-hand depression, and other phenomenon that can come up after trying to see through the eyes of a person who has a mental illness.
Thanks for your post because this is actually a common experience.
