Stubborn Weight

by Queen_E, May 08, 2009 08:26AM
I have been taking Zoloft (150mg), Buspar (15mg 2x/day), and birth control for years now. I started the Birth control at 17, Zoloft at 22, and Buspar @ 24.  I am 26 now...I was 50 lbs lighter 3 yrs ago. Now, I do not blame the medications for the weight gain-I did that on my own...but I have been working out with a trainer for over 3 months, an hour 3x's a week, had a serious diet/nutrition change, I even wear a "bodybug" to tell how much activity I do(calories burned)...my calorie intake is always less than calories expended.  I HAVE NOT LOST WEIGHT!!  I am so frustrated!! I have never worked out this hard in my life (and I have worked out with trainers in past and seen dramatic results). I even went to my doctor and had blood tests to see if it is my thyroid!!(all labs were normal)  What is going on?? Is it the medicines? I know I am not crazy!! My trainer even says that I should have, at a MINIMUM, lost 10lbs by now- I have lost 3lbs in a little over 3 months...doing all the aforementioned lifestyle changes. PLEASE HELP!!!

You might want to see a dietician, everyone's metabolism is different, I find it hard to lose weight as well.
