Trazodone and throat tightness

I have been taking Trazodone 100mg at bedtime for 2 weeks now for depression.  The last several night I noticed that I had an uncomfortable feeling in my throat but it wasn't that bad so I ignored it.  Last night the feeling was much worse.  My throat feels tight and uncomfortable. I am not going to take the trazodone tonight and will follow up with my psychiatrist tomorrow (it is the weekend).  Has anyone has this experience?  How long did the sensation last after stopping the medication?

I've has this experience from some medications but it can be caused by a variety of reasons so your psychiatrist would have to determine what caused it before they can see how to proceed. The first thing to do is ask them why it might have happenned and they can follow up from there as to whether it was something that would go away in time or a reaction that was of concern. Then they can better judge what to do from there.
