Wellbutrin Question

Wellbutrin Question

I have been on Wellburtin for years and tried slowly coming off about 2 months ago. Did it the right way and felt great, but one day it creeped up and bit me. I felt terrible. I talked to my Doctor and he said to get back on it. Since I started again, I have had terrible headaches, foggy head feeling, anxiety, and pain in the high back part of my neck above my hairline.  My doctor thinks it is a sinus headache due to my allergies. Although he may be right, I never had these problems before on the wellbutrin except a little anixety. That was managable by .25 xanax.

I was on only 150mg of wellbutrin. I react really well at a low dosage..... Just curious if this sounds normal or is my body just getting use to the dosage again ?

thanks

You might be having sinus problems because it is that time of year for them. Really though, I think your body is getting used to the Wellbutrin again.
If this keeps up see your Dr again. Sometimes after stopping a med when we go back on it we won't have the same effect or we can have a different effect. Take care. Remar

It is funny. I have allergies but latley with the headaches and all I have had no stuffy nose, cough, or usual congestion when i have a allergy attack. This time it was all above the eye balls. Headache, stopped up ears, and pain in the back of my head. Weird stuff.

Hey there,

I get chronic headaches (unrelated medical problem that I've had since before I started taking antidepressants at all) and I used to be on effexor and my doctor took me off the effexor because he said that effexor can sometimes make headaches worse or cause headaches and he was worried it was making my headaches worse... he switched me to wellbutrin because he said with my chronic headaches, it would be a better fit and shouldn't make my headaches worse because it doesn't seem to make headaches worse or cause them as much as the other antidepressants do.

Don't know if that helps at all... but... yeah... from what my doctor told me, shouldn't cause headaches although it is listed as a side effect but headaches are listed as a side effect on every single medication that you can get prescribed!!! So, it's possible it's related because it is listed as a possible side effect but I agree with what other people said that it is probably a sinus infection, especially since that is what the doctor said too.
