Wellbutrin SR & itching.

I've been on Wellbutrin SR for about 3 weeks and seem to be doing pretty good.  No major side effects like I had on SSRI's and am feeling better.  I've noticed that after about 6 hours from taking my dose, I'm on 200mg/day, I begin to experience itching sensations on various parts of my body.  Sometimes in the lower back, feet, thighs, shoulders, stomach but never in more than two places at once and usually not on consecutive days.  I'm waiting until the weekend when the weather will have more moisture in it since here in Southern California we've had some dry, but not unusually so, weather.  Is this "itching sensation" something I should be concerned about?  Thx in advance, Thom.

Thank you for your input.  The data sheet that came with the prescrip didn't mention anything about itching, only that if a rash around the chest area develops to discontinue use and see my DR asap; or go to ER if really bad.  I haven't noticed a major change or improvement.  My highs and lows don't seem to be as extreme but I don't feel like life's a bowl or cheeries either.  Oh well....I'm to call my DR's office next week to advise them of my status.  They'll probably want to increase it to 300mgs as that seems to be the standard dosage.  I'll update again next week.  Thom.

I've heard some people with that side effect, but not whether they had to discontinue or not. I would call the nurse at your Dr.'s office and inquire. I take 150mg of it twice a day. I haven't had any side effects, but it hasn't worked for me yet either (after several weeks). Is yours working at all?
