Wellbutrin to Prozac

I've been off work for 3 months now and have just maxed out on Wellbutrin SR to help with major depression. It's not helping so now I need to try another AD.  I took Prozac a few years ago and had good success for a few years, so I think my next step to try the Prozac again.  I tried Effexor for about 8 months but it never really helped.  I experienced extreme withdrawal from it while switching to wellbutrin.  

I haven't seen any similar discussions about Wellbutrin withdrawal, and in fact have found lots of people taking both wb and prozac at the same time.  

Any advice for Wellbutrin withdrawal/tapering would be appreciated.

Wellbutrin is often a combination drug used with an SSRI like Prozac. Wellbutrin will work twice as must at inhibiting your dopamine reuptake than the neurepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake which will most likely cause withdrawal symptoms especially with the well-being feeling of the dopamine and the energy from the norepinephrine reuptake inhibition. Anyway, yeah I suggest tapering off slowly if you want to quit Wellbutrin but it can also work great as a combo with Prozac. This way you get dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake inhibitions.

I am currently taking prozac, just started.  Wellbutrin xr 300mg.  I also was put on xanax for severe anxiety.  I have been depressed with no relief at all for 2.5 years.  Is there any hope for this combo to work... I am desperate to feel like a human again.
