I underwent ECT treatments from August of 2009 through the Fall. I found the series helped but as with you I have memory loss for most of 2009. It proved to be an inconvenience in my personal life but a real challenge in my job. I found ways to work around it but it was not easy. I don't regret having ECT treatments however I have since decided to exhaust all other avenues prior to having more.

I understand there are now techniques that can be taken that lessen or eliminate the memory loss side effect.

I have decided to move on and not question my decision nor dwell on what is lost. ECT as with many of medications have side effects and each of us as individuals need to weigh those and do what we feel is right for ourselves.

Best of luck to you.

Retrograde amnesia? Hum... Yeah hypnosis may help if you are prone to be hypnotized.

To support your memory and/or damage done to your memory I usually recommend choline & inositol and piracetam.

Any change in your medication must be addressed with a qualified physician whether it be a supplement or a prescription drug.
