When do Effexor Xr withdrawl symptoms start?

I have been on effexor 75 mg for about 2 years and I recently lost my insurance so I stopped taking my pills cold turkey.  It has been 9 days and so far I have felt some flu-like symptoms and a little tired at times but nothing like is posted all over the net. My question is do they get worse as time goes or should I already be experiencing some?  Thank you for your help and time.

If I can say that is a low dose.  I gave up (on doctors advice after tapering) 225mg and had no horrific side effects - none. You should be feeling it by now if you are going to get bad, so you are gonna be alright!

You read the bad stuff on the internet, many people can give it up without feeling bad.

However if you still need an antidepressant please try to get one.

It seems you are lucky to have such light side effects.  but will you be okay without the drug as far as depression goes?

I lost my insurance for a couple of years and my doctor found out that Wyeth labs (the makers of Effexor) has a program to help people who don't have insurance.  I got my meds for free for about 2 years until I got insurance again.  Ask around.  You may not have to go without.

Call your pharmacist. They will have lots of experience with this.

Do you feel that you were ready to quit anyway? How is your mood?
